    Hello,

1st time poster and I am considering a Prius if I can swing an acceptable price, and convince my wife to get out of our Lexus.

I received one quote for pack #5 for $24,999 so far. Carsdirect.com has the same for $24,555. What's the best price I might expect. I think for the $24,999 price, that includes some kind of accessories, IE floormats, etc.

I am located in San Francisco.

    thank for any info.

edit: I actually don't need nav because I have a handheld already with gps but the difference in the packages is $700 or so according to the Toyota site so it might be worth buying it with nav?

You should be able to get $2000 to $2500 off MSRP for a package 5 or 6. Call dealers and ask for the "Internet Sales Department" or look for dealer ads on Craigslist.

I bought a car from Toyota of Walnut Creek a couple weeks ago. I think the Internet Lady is named Nancy Ware. I got $2100 of MSRP. She was very pleasant to deal with. I might have been able to save a few more hundred bucks, but she gave me that price right off with the color I wanted. Seemed fair to me.
