Another Prius Maintenance Issue

    Looking at my generic maintenance schedule, the time had come to replace the wornout alternator and starter brushes .......wait a sec.....scratch that from the list. One more way the Prius reduces waste and saves money. Never thought about that till now.

    Since I keep a car for as long as I can, I'm use to getting the rebuild kits for starters and alternators. Finished the (formerly) intermittent starter on the 99 Camry recently and have to start planning on refurbishing the alternator. Need lots of soap afterwards for those jobs. No soap need for the Prius.

    Oh, yeah. I've also replaced many a power steering pump and hoses, which the Prius also lacks.
