Anyone install these 18w LED foglights?

iJDMTOY 6000K Xenon White 18W High Power LED Fog Lights Foglights Assembly For Lexus IS GS LX HS RX Toyota RAV4 Camry Solara Avalon Matrix Prius Scion xA, etc : Amazon.com : Automotive

    Or the amber/orange version?

Amazon.com: iJDMTOY 3000K JDM Amber Yellow 18W High Power LED Fog Lights Foglights Assembly For Lexus IS GS LX HS RX Toyota RAV4 Camry Solara Avalon Matrix Prius Scion xA, etc: Automotive

They look pretty bright, but like the OEM foglights, they lack any real cutoff. Yet, I'm thinking the stray light, glare from these may not be as bad as the OEM foglights? At 18w of LED power per foglight, they should be brighter than the OEM H11 55w halogen bulb foglights.

I really like these, because they appear to have a nice, sharp cutoff. However, the price is kinda turning me away. With shipping, they're almost twice the price of the previous foglights. Plus they're only available from an international seller ATM:

I have a question pending to the Amazon seller. I noticed there is no DOT or E code markings on the foglight lenses visible in the pictures.

If so, then they would be illegal for on road use for USDM applications.

In theory, yes. In reality, the odds of you being stopped for these and then to have an officer crouch down to verify the DOT marking on the lens is a huge long shot.
As long as they're aimed well, they'd look OEM enough to pass.

(unless you live in a state with strict inspections)

OK, found this youtube video which highlights these foglights. Don't know about the halo feature though, as they aren't mentioned in the Amazon or eBay auction descriptions:

These have the halo feature, but you'd need to fit some H11 connectors on these:

I sent an inquiry to the Amazon seller of these LED foglights asking about the lens material and whether they are legal for use on US roads. Here is their reply:

"The item you are inquiring about is legal for street use purposes. It is FAC coded, the lens is glass not plastic."

I've never heard of the FAC certification they refer to though.

The amber versions just arrived in my mail today. Shipping was very fast and quality looks pretty good so far. I got the ambers because I thought the halos looked too cheesy. Since the fogs are LEDs, do I need a special harness with resistors, or can I use any h11 harness since the resistors are internal? I am assuming the latter but want to make sure.

You can use any H11 harness. Resistors are only necessary for signal lights/bulbs due to hyper flashing from the low resistance of LEDs versus halogen bulbs.

Please post pics, and your impressions. I'm interested mainly on if there is excessive glare/stray light from these LED foglights. Also, if they are brighter than a halogen foglight.

If you already have the OEM foglights installed on your Prius, these will simply be Plug and Play as a direct replacement for each foglight. You would use the wiring harness and dashboard switch that came with the OEM foglight kit.

If you don't have the OEM foglights installed, then you would need the foglight shrouds for the 2010 - 11 Prius, or the lower grill with the foglight openings for the 2012+ Prius and a wiring harness and switch.

If you need to install in a 2010-2011 Prius, then I'd suggest getting one of those inexpensive OEM style kits available on eBay for under $50.

Jay J, thanks for the pic. (y)

Can you also take one straight on to the front end, preferably with the camera above the lowbeam cutoff so that any glare/excess light from the foglights are more apparent?

    Thanks :)

Looks like it's compatible with the 2011 year might look into these.

It is if you already have foglights installed.

These are just the bare foglight housings with H11 connectors. No shrouds, no wiring harness/relay, and no dashboard switch.
