I've seen some reporting up to 40 on this forum. Mine is routinely 35-38. I think it is so because I drive mostly in flat central valley of CA in moderate temperature and significantly slower than others when there are passing lanes.

That's mine from driving around 48mph for about 30 miles, round trip, no A/C, heavy traffic holding back speed, with little stopping. Of course this is averaged with my aggregate of 35.9, and is actually 36.5, since Entune rounds off the decimal points. (we should not Trumpify the results!, har, har).

Hills everywhere are hurting my EV range. Flat roads would help out alot!

You sir, I'm calling Honest Abe, since you have posted the Screen Shot of your dash readings to show decimal points. Staying Republican, others (like me), should hereafter try to avoid Trumpification of our results! , har har!

Hills are not necessarily a terrible thing if you are able (remaining considerate to other drivers) to apply some hypermiling techniques. I live in the suburbs in UpState New York in an area with Drumlins, driving a variety of "hilly" 30mph to 50mph roads. Since the temps have become reasonable again, I am consistently charging to 38miles (car this morning displays 38.3), and routinely make a 32.2 mile trip that displays over 9 miles of range remaining. My ICE has not turned on in over 935 miles (this is probably "not a good thing"!). I am going to need to switch over to HV mode for a month or so to break-in the ICE; I still have 484 (displayed) miles on the Dealer Supplied 1st tank.

If I follow the driving coach going up hills, I am going about 8 mph under the speed limit. I can imagine that does irritate driver's behind me. If I glide down the hills before going back up them, I may gain 5 to 10 mph above the speed limit. So on a road with a speed limit of 45 mph, I will going down a hill at about 53 mph and then go right back up a hill going 38 mph. It is almost a 15 mph swing in speed. If I was persistent in keeping it at 45 mph, my range gets depleted faster and efficiency goes down. If it was all flat, it would be more efficient and have less aggravated drivers behind me. Some are willing to pass me on a double line just to get around. SMH.

Never sacrifice safety for gas mileage (or EV range)! I do not apply hypermiling techniques when cars are behind me; I drive normal, but conservative (hey, I'm an "old guy"). Angry drivers are not safe drivers, and those that hypermile regardless of other drivers give all HV, PHEV and BEV vehicles a bad rep.

I try to balance my driving (efficiency and courteousy) and haven't been able to peak above 36 EV mile range. Most all my driving has hills in it. I live in the foothills of the mountains. It is one of my geographical shortcomings I guess.

Here is my driveway as an example of my terrain. My driveway is so steep that when I first bought my 05 Prius, it didn't have enough torque to backup the driveway. I had to u-turn in the driveway to get out. I back down from then on.

Man, if you're driving hills and getting 36 miles EV-only, you're a rock star!!
Hills just kill my EV range, especially out here on the 57 Fwy going North from the 91. The differential when coming back down, south is at least 6-8miles, although I haven't actually measured it.
Since it's a freeway, you've still got to go at least 65mph or more, even in the slow lane, unless you're blessed (I never thought I would ever say this) by heavy traffic!. Kids, the glass is always half full, Har, har

Thank You! I chose to live here before I bought the Prime. Sorry Prime, you are my second priority. Love both though! I love the mountains! The beach is only 250 miles away for a day or weekend trip. Cost of living is cheap too!
