I have always had these on cars for the past 10 years. Bought them from http://www.qwikvalve.com

The Fumoto Drain Valve makes oil changes a breeze and saves the oil pan thread from getting striped. My last car, a Honda Insight Hybrid striped out at 110,000 miles. This replacement valve saves headaches.

The Prius C is so new the correct size isn't listed.

Anyone find a correct size ye?

I bought one a year ago for my Toyota Tacoma truck for $23.95+$4.29 shipping.

We just need the company to provide us a model number for ordering. I'll call them today and see what I can find out.

Since the engine is a 1NZ-XFE, same as the Gen 2 engine, I'll bet the model number they recommend will be the same for the C and the Gen 2.

Naw, just the regular type without. I
have bought several in the past and haven't seen the need for a nipple type to add a drain tube.

What are the chances of it opening up on its own? Could a branch or stone bounce up and open it?

Not a chance. It's internal spring loaded. They even make a safety catch for it now(extra cost), which I've never bought.
I've had 5 cars and trucks with the valve installed with over 400,000 trouble-free miles.
