I found this article and picture of a possible 2008 Prius in a car magazine. I figured there would be some curious forum members so I included the picture.

Interesting! Standard Prius, Diesel Prius and Plug-in Prius. I hope so too... the more choices, the better.

I know it says March 2007 but that picture is older than the other one from WorldCarFans.com

The vast majority of the US has no access to E85. The US automakers make E85 capable SUV's and trucks because of the CAFE advantage. There is not reason for E85 in the Prius for CAFE reasons or to try to prove that the Prius is environmentally friendly. I wouldn't be surprised if the new Tundra is E85 capable though.

I read an article that Toyota was stearing clear of E85, it said something to the effect of... E85 increases Smog in cities and would not benefit the envinronment as much as Hybrid engines, but they are making their engines able to run on E10 fuel.

I'm OK with the picture of the car -- it looks like what I imagine the "prototype" car would look like for the existing Prius. All the "changes" sound interesting. I would particularly like a diesel option (Not gonna happen in California though!) and a plug in option.

I like it. IMO if the next gen looks and performs like this says Toyota will have another big winner.
