When I was younger watching old footage of people defying Nazi soldiers, people refusing to salute Hitler... I thought they were crazy and it was like they were willingly going to get themselves killed.

But now here we are under the same type of leadership inspiring hatred and rage against anyone and everyone who is not a white male and a goon squad abducting peaceful loving people off the streets and claiming immigrants and "illegals" are violent criminals when all the data show that immigrants work harder for less and are involved in way less crime then all the wack job white supremacist Trump humpers.

YOU'RE GODAMM RIGHT I'M GONNA SPEAK OUT OFTEN AND LOUDLY AND TAKE EVERY CHANCE I GET TO INTERFERE AND OPPOSE THIS UNCONSCIONABLE HATRED AND VIOLENCE AGAINST INNOCENT PEOPLE EVEN IF IT GETS ME KILLED!!!

More like Mamdami social democrats upstaging the establishment Democrats so we don't get into another stupid scenario where we slow walk Trump administration prosecutions because we think that running against them in an election will be easier than less criminal types. Democrats betrayed their country when they made that decision in the last election.

Someone did a pshychological analysis on that meeting and how chaotic leadership tends to go along with coherence when someone who has become powerful through offering coherent political leadership walks into the room. Yet another example of how pathetic and weak Trump's leadership really is.

Thanks for demonstrating irrelevance and weakness when it comes to your unquestioning support of Trump's hatred towards humanity!

No Alexa or smart TV or anything similar allowed in this house. If we did, late night men in black would have already taken away the spouse.

We should be dampening the swings of the pendulum, not fueling an amplifier of it.

The pendulum only swings further right because the clock is broken... Some political analysts call it the ratchet, where starting with Ronald Reagan they destroy as much of the government that serves the people and give all that funding to oligarchs and then when the economy falls apart the Democrats come in and fix things for 4-8 years, but they don't restore the majority of what was lost to "by the people and for the people" and then the right wing wackos move in and destroy everything again and deny our rights and social needs even more then rinse and repeat. Compared to the amount of equally shared prosperity, wages, union jobs and the American Dream in the 1950's we no longer exist in the United States anymore.

But just like in Guilded Age, the downfall of the wealthiest wretched among us doesn't come by morality or democracy, but by their own overreach. Then the torches and pitchforks come out and we create an entirely new era like the New Deal under FDR.

No problem. The great majority of Scandinavians speak excellent English, it is a mandatory school subject. Relatively few outsiders speak their languages, so English is their ticket to the rest of the world -- and even to the other Scandinavian countries. You'd manage just fine.

P45 wished Norway would "send" (involuntarily??) more immigrants to the U.S. P47 expanded that wish to all of Scandinavia at about the same time he finally confirmed to having previously described (after denials back then) a couple other regions has being "shithole" countries.

My largest chunk of ancestry is from Norway, about 1890s. We visited Norway and Iceland before the Pandemic, Denmark / Sweden / Finland this year. I see no reason or desire from them to want to immigrate to the U.S. in any significant numbers, anymore.

There isn't anything close to a nationwide critical mass to support "Mamdami social democrats". Running too many of them will push more Independents and center-ish voters to the other side.

Wouldn't that be the polar opposite of the Gilded Age? Guilds are similar to trade unions, while the robber barons loved gilded things. ;)
