AOL, Priuschat, & Posting

    BronxSalsa is an AOL user and can't get through to be able to post a message onto the board. He's using the default AOL built-in browser and can log in and view messages, but when he clicks submit after writing a message, it asks him to log in again.

    I've instructed him to clear cookies, temp. internet files, etc, but nothing seems to be working.

    Are there any other AOL users who may have run into a problem like this or are having a problem like this and I'm not hearing about it? Obviously you won't be able to post, so please email me.

    If anyone has any suggestions for BronxSalsa, please post them in here.

    I've noticed this as a problem on other phpBBs.

    One thing to check is if the user is on "http://priuschat.com" or "http://www.priuschat.com" as both will generate cookies and will conflict with one another. Sometimes clearing cookies can fix this, but then the user has to be diligent about coming to www.priuschat.com and that may mean replacing a bookmark.

    As for AOL - I found that when using it (when I travel) that you can log in and then launch Internet Explorer instead of using the AOL browser, which seems to be much cleaner (though won't block pop-ups, etc.).

    He was just able to log in using IE and post a message, so the problem is contained within the AOL browser... good suggestion on the difference between "http://www.priuschat.com" and just "http://priuschat.com"

    Can't post through AOL

    I'm BronxSalsa and I cannot post through my AOL browser, although I had been able to in the past. I am only able to post now through using Internet Explorer which is a pain because now I have to bounce back and forth between these two browsers. I prefer to stay with AOL. I did try to use http://www.priuschat.com" and just "http://priuschat.com, but it made no difference.
