AP Article: Hybrid Vehicle Registrations Rise in 2003

    California is leading in registrations of hybrid vehicles, followed by Virginia, Florida, and Washington. Registrations for 2003 of hybrids increased over 25% of 2002's numbers - last year they hit over 43,000 registrations.

    Pretty interesting article, thought I'd share.

    Yeah, they just had that article on CNN. Pretty cool. They still made a stupid misstatement. They said something to the effect that demand for hybrids was low. I guess they didn't bother to notice that every single 2004 Prius was spoken for shortly after the car was released. :roll:

    My local Honda dealer doesn't keep a Civic Hybrid on his lot very long either. A truck delivers 2 or 3 every couple of weeks and they're gone in a few days. There isn't a wait list like with the Prius; but the dealer is selling every one they get.
