Automatic Sound Leveling feature. I end up using the manual knob and have never heard a difference when road noise increases or decreases. Have not been able to make it work in 5 different Toyotas. What is up with this enhancement?

I can hear significant difference as speeds increase.

Works in mine but is usually so gradual you don't notice. I have found that if I am listening to something quite loud and then brake heavily I do notice a belated volume drop.

Let me clarify what i wrote...ASL is indeed subtle as you speed up. However, if you drive 60 mph...and click ASL ON and OFF, you should hear a significant difference! I do.

I agree. the fact that you don't hear the difference means that it is doing it's job.
