I have this problem some time ago. My car sometimes drops hybrid battery to 1 bar and its not normal. When the car fully stops, it fails to move again for a couple of seconds (pushing the gas just acelerates the engine, as if it was in neutral), and then jumps ahead and moves. It wont move if its climbing. I need to turn of and on the car to force the car up the hill. The problem lasts from seconds to 20mins. But its occasional. At begining once in months, thats why my dealership never finds the issue. Now happens 2 or 3 times a week. Getting worse. I have not found similar problems over the web. Im in a trouble

How many miles on your 2016?

Do you have any trouble lights or OBD2 codes (DTCs) ?

Are you sure you're referring to the 2016 Prius listed in your profile? Sure doesn't seem like it?

If it "is" fourth gen, should be a warranty issue. Sounds like hybrid battery failure.

I'd second: how many miles on the car?

    Any warning lights?

I thought the Prius I was released in mid 2017, not 2016.
