Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum, but I wasn't sure where else to put it.

Is there any way, when you use Auto heat, to have it heat other than feet only? I'd rather it default to the high vents.

No, automatic means automatic but of course you can override it to send the heat wherever you want it.

When you override it and set a mode and temperature, it will stay that way even after you stop and restart.

If you keep the car out of ECO mode, it will automatically use bi-level and a few other things. Though maybe not the way you'd like. It will also use combo defrost-floor when its cold and humid. Bottom line: what you want is not "auto" mode.
