available packages

    Does anybody know for sure that a package #4 is available in CA.
    I can find a dealer who will order one for me.

    I don't know if #4 is one, but there are a couple of packages that are offered only in one distribution area in CA and not the other. Go to the build a car area of the Toyota website and try both Southern and Northern CA zip codes. You'll get your answer PDQ.

    from wat i remember only 1, 3, 5 is avaliable in CA
    definitely not 4
    because thats wat we were plannin to get, untill we got to the dealer....

    OK, that triggered my memory. #4 is available in Northern California (north of the Monterey Peninsula). #3 is only available in Southern, but not Northern, California.

    If you search from Toyota website about 'pricing/building ' your Prius, depending what Zip Code you input, your packages change. If I order from a downstate NY dealer, I can't get the basic package (just Side Air), but if I order up nearer to Albany, I can get it. I know it's cool, but to pay $500 for the SmartKey is not worth it for me.. Plus I was told extra/replacement key fobs are over $200. OUCH


    You may try & see just how 'far' from home you need to go to find a dealer who would get your preferred package, by inputting zip codes.
