With Dr Prius I am getting a .34 differential reading on the hybrid battery. I will be monitoring this reading now but wondering if I should expect to see a slow and gradual difference taking place or can it jump suddenly to the failure range of approx .54? What is a differentiation I should watch for to proactively replace the battery. I plan to do a new toyota battery replacement myself but not sure how urgent of a situation at .34.

Any guesses of the general life expectancy of a .34 with 180k miles?

there's no need to proactively replace it, the car will give you plenty of warning ahead of time.

you could consider a grid charger at this time.
