I'm interested in recycling a used prius battery as a power source for an electric motorcycle. I can't find the dimensions of the battery pack anywhere on google though. Can someone who owns one give me a rough estimate?

I found some unitless dimensions of a single module and I was guessing they were in millimeters, but when I multiply it all out, the total dimensions only come to 11x22x4 inches which seems too small. (Although, if thats really it, I think I've found my power source!)

Also, what is the module pattern? Is it just 1x1x28? Thanks!

04-09 Prius NiMH module dimensions are 19.6x106x285 in millimeters. There are 6 cells per module and 28 modules per battery. All in series.

Personally I would go with LiFePO4 batteries if I were you. Longer life, easier to charge, and also might be easier to get. They would also be lighter, hold more energy and you could use less of them to reach your target voltage.
