Battery Health check.

    Hi What numbers would indicate a "healthy" gen 3 hybrid battery, using a Sollus Ultra scan tool? My mechanic got the figures in the photo attached ....Thank you so much for your interest in my question...Cheers Peter Sydney IMG_20241001_090956.jpg

    The state of charge (SOC) of the hybrid battery varies between 40 to 80% as you drive the car. That is what the Toyota engineers designed the control system of the car to do. The SOC of the hybrid battery does NOT tell you anything about the health of the battery.

    dr prius will do a health check and give you expected % of life left, but i wouldn't trust it. old batteries can easily slip out of operating parameters due to one cell failing.
