Today my 04 started to beep once when powering down. This is new as it has never done this before. Any thoughts as to what the car is trying to tell me. I restarted the car and shutdown again, with no beep. Later in the day, after driving for a while and shutting down, it beep again. I have the SKS system and my procedure for shutting the car down has not varied for the 4 years I have owned it. Any thoughts?

How is your 12v battery? Is it still the original?

It's still the original 12v battery and there are 43K miles on the car. There have been no other strange alarms, lights, etc.

Your FOB battery needs to be replaced.

Same thing happened to me with my 2004 recently... so, I documented the procedure (with illustrations) in the User-Guide.

Can I cook ribs and change the battery in the FOB at the same time?

How did we get from fobs to cooking ribs? I have a little whiplash from that change of topic.

As humorous as dogfriend's response to the spammer was, I still needed to take down their post :) So now your response just looks like you're crazy, dogfriend.

Ribs are tasty if prepared correctly. Maybe the spammer was on to something.

Thanks John. That solved the problem. You just saved me some $$$ as I was about to replace the 12v battery thinking that it may be the culprit.
