I was pulling out of parking lot today and my car kept beeping. The dash had the below warning, but would intermittently disappear. Shift to 'P' Position While in Park. I was able to shift to reverse or 'D' to drive. The car moved, but it would keep popping up with the above message and beep. I pulled over and restarted the car. The warning would just come back. I later found out that my driver's side door was not closed properly. The annoying part is that I didn't see the red door icon. This beep and warning was for the door. This feature is not designed properly. The message is not informative and it didn't use the red door icon. Anyways, defect is solved. It really annoyed me in the end.
Is that exactly verbatim what it said? I could sort of see "Shift to 'P' Position While Parked" ... "Shift to 'P' Position While in Park" seems to involve a paradox.
