Best cheapest mini-VCI scanner for Toyota Prius 2005 please?

    Not sure you will find both of those criteria at the same time.

    Many purchase on FleaBay or Scamazon for the best price, and others from mainland China if they're willing to wait.

    Cheap, yeah there are plenty of those. But Best??? Don't press your luck. I went through two "cheap" mini-VCI with rip-off Techstream and so far no luck getting them to work on my PRIME.

    A 2005 should be pretty forgiving no matter what version you get.
    It will be easiest for your to run it on an old XP laptop.

    I think most people don't realize that these kinds of tools used to cost mechanics $1,000 or more plus a subscription to the Toyota service.
    So when people try to quibble over the difference between $30 and $60 it's hard for me to be very vested in the discussion.
    You'll find ones by doing a simple search.
