I'm getting a lot of dead links and outdated info on some old posts. Any advice on what would be a good source to buy OEM Toyota parts either in the Phoenix area or online? Thanks!

For local pick up, try searching for the part # at http://parts.toyota.com - then click through the various nearby dealers for pricing.

If you want Toyota brand stamped parts....look to SFO's advice.

If you can live with Denso -- which makes many of the parts that are later stamped Toyota -- you can save mucho at RockAuto.

The rock also carries a number of other parts by other makers that sometimes supply the exact same part to Toyota....Rock is my go to. Hints, they always have a 5 percent off coupon, which isn't much, but. Their shipping rates vary by day, sometimes by hour and the price is usually much cheaper if you ship to a business address.

I too usually go to RockAuto but I'm having trouble with some Cardone axle shafts that I purchased. I'll check Rock Auto again and see what else they have for axles.

Try Amayama. So far, on small items, shipping is the only extra I've been charged, no sales tax or duty.

Heard that the cutoff could be around 160usd (for NA), though some claim the shipping method may also play a part in larger ticket items.

Nice to know about the 800usd cutoff, not that I would ever risk that in an overseas shipment that might be subject to duty..

Impex appears to be more affordable than many of the local US options, even when including EMS shipping costs, and has better availability than Amayama in the UAE, example : 25860-21060

If I ever order from Amayama, it would be from the UAE (assuming they had availability) as that is the most affordable option currently known.

If there is another overseas OEM option available to those in NA or elsewhere, many might be interested in such. Everyone should chime in.

It varies. Sometimes UAE is cheaper, other times Japan.

Too, if getting multiple items (which is good, reduces shipping cost compared to multiple individual shipments), sourcing them all from the same country is advantageous, to avoid having two shipping charges. You need to balance item cost AND shipping.
