Big downpour and the mpg degrades by at least 3 mpg

    I was driving on the expressway this afternoon when I was hit by a big downpour (tropical storm) and the mpg immediately suffered.
    Lights on, AC on, wipers on, plus the extra rolling resistance of water on the pavement...big difference..
    I was not expecting it.

    I believe that effect has also been noted on the G1s and G2s.

    At least in Florida you don't have to worry about the big hit from cold weather.

    The few cents spent in lower mpg were more than compensated by the free car wash :rockon:
