Hi folks, I've been a pest about HR 5734 but sometimes you like to have a little fun. Now I'm not a fan of blogs, they too often are self-serving and carry less weight than the electrons used to run them. However, sometimes they are useful for 'blowing off steam.' So for a good time: Google up "HR 5734" - find some blog or commentary sites Register and login - some 'disposable' account that sounds real Vote and post against "HR 5734" - let them know what you really think Go back two days later and do it again - another account? For a fun twist, use "news.google.com" and use that to search for articles about HR 5734 and if you find one that supports comments, "fire away" and treat it as another Blog site. If you see a 'blind' posting, dissect it, throw some cold hard facts and data at it. No need to poke fun, "Just the facts, Mame." Take the blogs away from the advocates. Make them do the work. Don't let them give the illusion of a popular bill that folks are enthusiastic about ... actually whatever you feel is fine by me. Oh, Google too hard? Here are some critter sites: OpenCongress - H.R.5734 Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act of 2008 http://www.fantasycongress.com/legislation/H.R.5734 You know, I'm not perfect and sometimes I have to blow off a little steam.
