Recently I am having major Blueetooth issue...Service has no idea other than pointing me to phone issues:

The Prius V drops the bluetooth connection sporadically and after a bit reconnects; when I start up the car the connectivity is not always seemless-often saying no Bluetooth is setup but then after a few seconds connects; i can be on hands free and talking away only to find our I lost bluetooth and the call reverted to the phone, and finally I have tons of static. The bottom line is I can nolonger use the phone in the car for business.

    Any suggestions?

Wow, sounds like there really IS a problem somewhere. I've got a Galaxy S4 and it's been virtually flawless in my 2012 v. Like yours, it sometimes takes up to a minute to connect when I turn on the car, but I figure, the car is so busy doing other things, connecting with the phone can wait.

No suggestions for you, but I hope you can get things worked out.

Do other phones work OK in your v? Problems like this are almost always on the phone side.

Sounds like a pretty typical case of interference. If the phone is in a case of some type, take it out. If there are any other phones or wireless devices in the car, turn them off.

Does your phone work as expected with other bluetooth devices like headsets? I use a bluetooth headset which blocks the car from connecting to the phone, but when that's off it all works more less as it should with my S-3

I've been having Bluetooth issues with my 2012 Prius v and my Verizon Galaxy S4. For me, the phone would connect properly but it would start fast-forwarding after approximately 30 seconds of playback. The fix was to just hit "seek back", and all used to be good. This started with my upgrade to KitKat months ago, but recently the phone would go berserk when I hit back. I took it to the dealer last week and, in their normal clueless way, they said "there's no update for the audio system".

After almost running a red light this evening trying to deal with the issue, I decided that it was time to take more drastic measures. After one Google search I found an update to the Entune software that takes it to v3.2. I followed the online instructions, the upgrade worked perfectly, and the issue is now fixed. It even worked on my Canadian Prius v which doesn't exactly even have Entune! (Yes, I live in Canada but work makes me carry a Verizon phone...long story :) .)

Updating Entune is certainly one option (your dealership should be able to do it for you, although they may need some serious prodding), but I have also read that people have been able to fix your issue by unpairing then repairing their phones. During the pair process don't give permissions to read your messages.

I'm having the same issue as richmondva. I've been having it since i got my PPI last summer. I've tried unpairing, tried other phones. I talked to Entune support, and they said it sounds like a bad bluetooth module in the car. But I haven't yet been able to convince Toyota to replace that. Were you ever able to get this resolved?

I had the same issue on a Prius Liftback, turns out the custom rom I was running on my GS4 was not working properly with any bluetooth. Just a thought if you're running custom roms.
