Bluetooth connection issue

    I have a 2008 Prius with “Bluetooth†My issue is when I want to make a telephone call, the system defaults to “Speed Dial†when I hit the back button, the only button the is lit and functioning is the speed dial.

    After awhile, the other buttons light up and if I’m fast enough, I can use my telephone book. Is there a short in the system or is this to be expected. It’s very frustrating.

    Are you moving when this happens? Everything except speed dial is locked out when moving, as well as caller ID information. Toyota doesn't want you getting distracted while driving. You have to pull over to use the phone book, or use voice commands to dial.
