BMW flip at Mid-Ohio

Did anybody see the sports car race at Mid-Ohio this Sunday on Speedchannel? A 3 series BMW took a wild endo/barrel roll several times. I did a freeze frame on one of the upside down shots and it looked like the beemer had the mother of all BT braces right about where the Prius has theirs. Since the BMW is rear drive, it may be a catcher for a broken drive-shaft, but it sure looked lika a grown up BT brace. It was about the same width as ours, but maybe 4-5 times longer (front to rear). I follow racing quite closely, and never noticed this type of brace on the floor pan, until I installed my BT. Maybe BMW has discovered them too. By the way, the driver, was OK, shaken up, but OK.
