BMW is developing 1-series Hybrid

    I like how they keep it secret, yeah right!

    Do you think they might have wanted it noticed this is or might be a hybrid?

    lol... nothing to see here, just some obvious stickers that say this is a prototype!


    My guess is that it'll be a mild hybrid like the 7 Series (also note how BMW uses ActiveHybrid for both their mild hybrid and two-mode full hybrid systems. No distinction).

    The 1 Series is tight on space (thanks to its RWD layout) so I can't see them stuffing a good sized battery anywhere so it has to be a smaller, Li-Ion type that can maybe fit under the bonnet or something.

    Haha. I like your responses. We should have a bunch of stickers made that say "Hybrid Test Vehicle" and we can pass them out to the public at the auto show. (btw LA Auto Show is December 4-13, 2009)

    The 2011 Sienna will be revealed. Hopefully they'll tell us whether a Sienna hybrid is coming or not (methinks it is coming very soon)
