What do you drink, where how do you drink it? Favorite mixes etc.

I'm a Makers Mark fan, neat or on the rocks depending on the mood. Also like craft beers. Whole Foods has a great selection if anyone is into that sort of thing.

    Any beer from these people;

    Homepage | Little Valley Brewery

Hard to find even over here and the brewery is only 30 miles away, but boy are they worth searching out.

I used to be an avid bourbon collector. Makers was what got me into the whole thing but there are SO many other pours that kick its butt. MM is a wheated bourbon, if that's the profile you like give anything from Pappy Van Winkle a try, his stuff is AMAZING. His dad distilled Very and Very Very Old Fitzgerald way back in the day.

So... I still enjoy my bourbon either straight or on the rocks but am also beginning to enjoy Tequila, drank the same. Patron is good but overpriced IMO. At a reasonable price, Milagro is quite good. And I must admit, I like the Silver tequilas better than Repasados and Anejos.

Good to see the US has the small brewers too. If anybody hasn't tried these smaller type brewers, then you should. Some are poor, but most are more than worthy and you'll wonder why you spent all those years drinking the chemically laced p*** from the big brewers. The small brewers beer doesn't usually cost much more, supports local industry and is often a real pleasure to drink.

It's a win win situation. You enjoy their beer, they enjoy your patronage.

I keep Killians Irish Red in the garage fridge. When I go out I like to sample the different local microbreweries, mainly the amber ones.

For a mixed drink it is hard to beat a Gin and Tonic during the summer.

I agree with that, great summer drink when lounging around the pool. Even though its common, I love using Beefeater.

Occasional Stone IPA with dinner, but a Coors
Light with Lime hits the spot. Kirin Light with sushi.
Stella or Amstel Light if I'm in an imported mood.
Most any light Amber Craft Beer that is light and sweet works.
    Supporting the locals helps.

If it is a Sport coat dinner Red Wine like Capolla Vineyards lately.

I have recently became enamored with craft beer. There is a small brewery downtown called Mother Earths which makes good beer. They allow dogs and I bring my two. One or two beers with some socializing and the Padres on big screen makes for a good outing.

I never went there, but the web site said you can buy brewing equipment including the starter kit.

I enjoy going to Pizza Port in Carlsbad on a weekday night. The Place is packed and they have great micro brewed beer. No dogs allowed
