I'm familiar with the use of the oem scissor jacks and the trolley jacks. What about the use of bottle jacks? It seems that they may work better than the scissor jacks for tire changing. Any opinions on this?

I prefer bottle jacks, but I don't carry one in my car, so it's the OEM jack for me if I get a flat on the road.

Most anything works better than an OEM jack, IMHO.

I have both a bottle jack and a trolley jack. One is as easy to use as the other, and they both get the job done. I prefer the trolley jack because, with its base, it's more stable. But I don't carry either in my car. If you're looking for portability, the bottle jack probably is the better option.
