Hey all, New here and I have a 2012 Prius and this morning I noticed something sticking out of the bottom side of the car. I’m posting two photos, a photo from far away and one up close to show you what I mean. Is this the undercarriage or something else? Apologies for my limited knowledge but thought I’d get some advice before take it anywhere for repairs. When I turn on the car internally everything seems fine and I drove it once around the block and it felt as smooth as ever. Any insight would be helpful as to what to do next to fix. Thanks!
Under seat trays for protection of lines and wires they'll have about ten pounds of rocks in them . I threw them out
Check out “schema 2/2”, well down the page, here: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/toyota-usa/prius/ZVW30L/13502/body/5102 you’ll need to raise your car to see properly what’s required. Likely just a few failed fasteners.
If you have AutoZone advance Auto and whatever's out west out there auto parts stores there's a box they sell for $15.89 you want the box for the Japanese cars and you'll find most of the clips in that box whether you'll have enough for both of those trays I can't honestly remember but I think so there's a few in the box you'll never use most of them have a place to go on the Toyotas a few in the box are outliers. I've bought two boxes and used almost all of them up in the last 24 months I wouldn't call them cheap fakes but they are newer and more pliable plastic so they don't tend to break every time you try to pop the center section out of the ones you're working with.
