I think that you did quite well. Your final offer price was just $500 over the KBB trade-in price. Congratulations to you!

That deal sounds good to me Gobux. The prius is a really nice car to own with these rising fuel prices. I'm getting 55 MPG and loving it. :D

This is why I dread going to the dealer. The OP did well bargaining.

gobux, it also has the balance of the factory warranties. It's time to clean up your details. For 2006:

Package 3 CD player, SKS, camera
    Package 4 add VSC
Package 5 add HomeLink mirror & 6 CD changer
Package 6 add fog lights & HID headlights
    Package 7 add nav
    Package 8 add leather

May you enjoy the car for many years to come.

Way to hang in there. Looks like you got a great car at a very fair price. Can't often say that about dealer experiences.

The old hands on this site suggest getting the transaxle fluid changed around 60k miles, so you might want to spring for that. Other than that (and routine oil/filter changes every 5k miles), you should not have any maintenance costs for quite some time.

    Enjoy your new ride.

I've seen my wife work prices with salesman of all types, for everything!
She has the knack of getting what she wants at the price she wants....
    It appears you do too!

    Welcome to the group! :D
