Today we bought our 2008 white model with pkg #2 today at Shelor in Christiansburg, VA at a very satisfactory price....will pick it up Monday. They were a pleasure to deal with. We wanted the lowest package since the car comes with very good basic equip and our typical light color that does not show dirt so much and can't cook an egg on it during the summer. Before the deal this morning we sold my wife's 2000 Camry to another distant retired couple. My wife is hoping she will like this car as well as her 3rd Camry. Can't wait to see other people watch our car and ask Q's as much as I have done to other cars and owners. This forum is making me very knowledgeable on the Prius and was instrumental in us buying one. Thanks.
    Let the fun begin.

    Add my congrats, too! ;)

I think you'll really enjoy your new ride. You're already ahead of the curve if you've been checking out this site. Read and learn.

I now have 1,500 miles on my Mag Gray '08 and can say it's so much fun! (It also doesn't hurt that I can fill it up for $20-$25 [do the happy dance at the pump]!!!)

So got it today. And the sharp salesperson knew a lot but not all I asked, so he is also learning. Interesting that the delivery rider to get the car to this dealer avg'ed 40.7 mpg and I avg'ed 55.0 on the 14 mile/15-20 min ride home.
Piece of cake, I think my wife and I already drive like your are supposed to to be fuel efficient. Now to add a tow-hitch so we can haul our bicycles on our good quality bike rack on vacations or to the local "rails to trails" scenic river trail. Yeah, white is sure a fine color. When we got it, I asked the dealer to do two things for us....do not spray armor-all on the tires and don't apply a dealer ID sticker-plate on the car rear body. They complied. Thanks to all.

I have also told my son who lives in Katy, TX and computes to Houston (45-60 minutes one way) he might should consider selling his BMW (got from his mother-in-law) to get one of these. We'll see.
