I was searching on the web for a completely different car and ran into this:

1999-2004 Toyota Prius, Lexus RX 300 and RX 330
Defect: Brake lights may fail, causing an increased risk of rear-end collisions, or fuel pumps may fail, causing vehicles to stall in traffic. Repairs involve replacing brake lights or fuel pumps. Number of vehicles in recall: 250,000 in U.S., Canada, and other countries besides Japan.
