Brake peddle travel distance when powered down and when just powered on?

    What is the brake pedal travel distance to the floor before starting the car?

    Had the Brake Accumlator Recall done and the brake software update. Now the peddle goes to the floor before starting the car. Always had only about and inch of total travel. Is this normal? I do not feel safe. Car brakes good after shifting into drive and starting to move.

    No. You need to take it to the dealer who did the recall and tell them to fix it.
