Hi -- Just wondering if Toyota improved the factory stiffening plate on the 2007 Prius? All the "reviews" for the BT Tech Stiffening Plate seem to be from 2006 and before owners. Is this option still a viable one for the 2007?

Picking up my new Pkg #3 tomorrow--can't wait! :)

Congratulations on getting your new Prius!! I am sure that you will be delighted like so many of us here are with our Pri!! :)

There are no changes in regard to the stiffening plates on the 2004-2007 Prius that Toyota made. We have sold a large number of our BT Tech plates for people that own the newest 2007 Prius.

Thanks! Looks like a fantastic modification -- I'm sure I'll be getting one, once I get the car and drive it some -- I want to expreience the difference between the two plates!

    Hi Brian,

Just wondering. I picked up my new Seaside Pearl Prius today. Love the car. Among the many pieces of paper I signed there was one indicating the use of non-toyota after-market parts and using them may void my warranty.

Question: How does the use of your stiffener plate affect the warranty? Any reports of the warranty being voided by using your plate?

    Thanks -- moshe

    Hello Moshe,

The use of our BT Tech stiffening plate does not void the factory warranty on the car as far as I know. The chances of a technician even noticing it installed on your car is next to zero.

If you were really concerned, you could simply remove the BT Tech plate and re-install the factory plate in under 10 minutes but most of our customers have never had to go to such extremes.

Thanks Brian -- sounds good. You'll be hearing from me, probably in October.
