Bush Does it Again- William Wehrum nominated for EPA position

    Bush has nominated William Wehrum to be the EPA head of air quality programs. This guy (formerly a lawyer representing polluting firms fighting EPA regulation), in his five years at the EPA, has distorted scientific analysis of mercury emissions, and has done everything possible to subvert science. If there are any other Rhode Islanders out there, be sure to call Lincoln Chafee on this one (his vote on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee could be key- Chafee is generally very good on environmental issues, but he's running for re-election and the Republicans are putting the squeeze on him.)

    If nothing else...Bush is consistent. We don't have to worry about a logical choice. Remember, Bush is a uniter NOT a divider. :blink:

    And we should be surprised about this EPA nomination because?????????

    I would love to know why Christie Whitman resigned years ago. She has been silent on this.
