I'm really interested in the Prius and I'm sure that my next vehicle will be a Prius of one model or another. I've looked at both online and I've driven a 2012 model. I've looked at tons of youtube reviews and I can honestly say as far as looks and the interior, I like the second and third generation equally.
The question I'm struggling with is this:
Option A: Lease a new model, have a lower payment and don't worry about repairs (because the dealer takes care of that <- my assumption on leases) BUT have to worry about mileage and any damage to the vehicle when I turn it in.
    OR
Option B: Buy an older model (thinking 2008 maybe...), have higher payments, will have to take care of repair costs on my own, BUT don't have to worry about mileage or damage to the vehicle.
Anyone have any experience? Had any major repairs on your 2007-2010 Prius yet? How much did they cost?
