We have been looking for the Prius for us for a few months now (we've been busy with our new baby). I think we have found the one. It's a new leftover 2012 Prius II, red with tan interior. We really want the dark blue but red is our second choice. My question is, do you think that I can get a really good deal on this 2012, being that it is June of 2013? Or, do you think there won't be much of a price break? If there isn't much of a price break we'll get a blue 2013 instead.

You should be able to get good financing at the least!
There was essentially no change between the 2012 and 2013 models, that's great news for you.
I'm sure the dealer wants to get the 2012 model off the lot- he's probably pretty motivated at this point.
The only reason to get the 2013 over the 2012 model would be if you're planing on keeping it only for a couple of years then reselling it.

Go to the dealer and make an offer- the worst they can do is say no!

When I bought my 2013 Prius 5 days ago, they had a 2012, but it was not eligible for 0% APR.....only the 2013s were. The 2012 and 2013 prius were identical in features and pricing.

Just took advantage of the Prius II $299. lease with no money down. Added tint and got rid of backup and seatbelt annoyances. Let me tell you, going from a 2010 to 2013, I don't notice the engine starting while driving as much and everything is much smoother overall.
I would go for the 2013 myself. Unless there is a huge savings.

I bought my 2013 about a week ago. Mike, you're right. The 2012s were not eligible for 0% finance, however, they did have 1k cash back incentive.

On another note, only 2 weeks and less than 1k miles on my brand new 2013 prius two and someone dinged it already! Argh just my luck.

Well...we did it. The 2012 we had been looking to buy, sold last Monday. We were going in to negotiate yesterday. So, for the last few days we looked online and found a few used prii to take a look at. We found and bought 2010 prius II, blizzard white with bisque interior. 23k miles. Kbb value is $18,300. Ended up buying for $17,400. We pick it up Tuesday after they tint the windows.
