i went to the dealership for a 15,000 and they put replace cabin air filter automatically
    on the paperwork

its my understanding that prepaid toyota maintaince wont cover engine or air filters
until 30,000 and i almost could of gotten charged for the work??

Just check it yourself. It is very easy to get to and replace. About a 2 minute job and no tools needed. If dirty, you can get one at the parts department for about $20.

Yeah, don't pay the dealer to do it. I found my filter on EBAY for under $10.00.

I bought two of them on EBay for the price of one at the dealer. My was very dirty by 25,000 miles.

The cabin air filter is easily claeaned with a little detergent and warm water. I bought two of the replacements on ebay and then found that the old one cleaned up very well.
