The car is a 2007 Cobalt Coupe 1LT with a 4-spd auto and a 2.2 litre Ecotec engine. It ran mostly highway (I'd say ~90% of the 2,700 miles we clocked).

We resetted the trip computer at the start. The final results was 31.9mpg.

    The highest was this:

it's officially rated at 24/31 I believe (automatic).

I would like to see it become mandatory where ALL new cars and trucks have such gauges.
It would go a long way toward making people more aware of how their driving techniques affects their fuel economy.
. . . that, and we would probably see a bunch more Hummers on used car lots.
