I have my phone book entries named in my car's memory, but when an incoming call comes in my MFD only displays the number. Has anybody been able to get the entry name to show instead?

    thanks

Mine only displays the name....but I didn't do anything to get it that way. The number for me only appears below 5mph.

Go into ur phone settings and there is a point where u choose ( look in ur owners manual) long format and just a short format or something to that effect. long format gives name and short is just number ... but the manual has a section on it. :D
    Cheers

I just checked this and mine was set to "full" as opposed to "icon". Still numbers only showing on incoming calls. I'd love to see the entry name on incoming calls if possible.

It could also have to do with the area code. Sometimes the phonebook is programmed without them, but the caller id has them, sometimes it is opposite. Both can cause this issue...because they are not in sync.

Try messing around with one of them, adding of subtracting the area code and see if that helps

Thanks, I'll try that. For the record, do you see names on incoming calls?

Yes, but I can't remember if they are visible when moving...I'm thinking they are not, but I will test tomorrow again to see.

To get back to you...yes, Caller ID names are visible when moving (well, they are not really caller ID names, just matches to the names in my contact list). For some odd reason, the phone number and call time are what are blocked while moving...pretty dumb if you ask me.

Were you able to get yours working?

I checked...and all of mine are loaded with the area code and then phone number...even the local ones.

Hope you were able to get it working.

Thanks for checking, I updated my entries by adding the "1" before all area codes. I haven't received a call yet but will update once I know.

    thanks again
