    Hey all,

I am due for new tires ALREADY!! these integritys are disapointing as far as mileage goes. I want goodyear assurance TT's but that will have to wait till the next tire change. :focus: But my question is this... Can I get a 19560R15 as opposed to the stock 18560R15? I want a bigger footprint.

    Thanks
    JJ

Yes you can, Aussie Prius come on 195-60r 15 from the factory on the same rims as you have.

Yes you can. You'll get much better traction and handling with the TT's in the 195/60/15 size, but will probably lose a couple of mpg's.

I, and I think just about every other TT-riding Prius owner, have 195/60/15 TT's. The TT's don't even come in the OEM 185/65/15 size.

195 mm is the width of the OEM tires on the U.S. Prius Touring Edition, and is the most prevalent width of OEM tires on Priuses outside of the US.

When you get your new TT's, make sure you get the 195/60/15 size, and NOT the 195/65/15 size, as the RPMs of the 195/60/15 size are closer to the RPMs of the 185/65/15 Integrities.

I did with my Michelin HydroEdges. Made the biggest difference in handling of anything I have done on the car.

    OK everyone,

next question, I ahve seen TONS of posts on here about what tires are best. I want some input on the following questions

will GOODYEAR TT affect my MPG 4-5?

if not GOODYEAR TT than what is its closedt competitor?

I want handeling and a quite ride and safety is top priority what is best?

By the way I have a 2007 basic.

Wouldn't know what tyres are best, I have Michelin Energy MX1+ and I'm happy.

I don't know why you're re-asking a question that's been answered with "TONS of posts".

Why don't you just read those "TONS of posts" about which tire is good or best, and make your own choice?

No, I don't think you will lose 4-5 mpg with the TripleTreds in the 195/60/15 size. I estimate the loss as 2 mpg.

Scattered throughout this forum there are many tire recommendations. The only thing I can see that they have in common is that they are mostly top of the line, or close to it, from any given manufacturer.

The tripletreads WILL take down your mileage. We lost 5-10% on the car that got them. We don't regret it, though. Stability and handling are dramatically improved, as is foul weather driveability.

    hey everyone,

Thanks for all the input I did look through all the "TONS of posts" and wanted to ask to get a specific answer to my question. I do not think that there are any groups on hte central coast...

Agreed on mpg drop, 1-2 mpg with the wider tires.
