I was hoping with everyone's help to start a thread that shows all the new 2016 Prius colors in one thread. I mean the actual cars and preferably from the same angles all back to back so we can all compare and discuss our favorite colors.

Hopefully someone can step up to the plate and get this done that would be amazing and greatly appreciated. Even toyota's website doesn't have all the new 2016 colors side by side to compare..if they do I suck and can't find it. Lol.

And to top it off if anyone is good at photoshop would you be so kind as to photoshop dark tint onto all the available colors. The new body style might be growing on me.... Maybe...

Thank you and Happy New Year.

Having seen all except Thermo-Tec Lime-Green and Steel Blonde in real life, I can say it's as close as it gets within the boundaries of your computer monitor.

I'm guessing you'll have to wait for @DianneWhitmire or @tmacrp or anyone else who works at a dealership to get the colours with the same angle for you.

I didn't realize it came in lime green. Pretty cool!!

Blue, green, grey are my top 3 thus far just going by the pics.

Seeing them in person might change things though.

Edit: I really want to see a tinted out one in black! That might sway my vote :)

Just got an email today from Toyota and they are delaying the launch a week to make sure everyone gets one the same day.

So its looking like January 11th right now!

Lime-Green is only available in Japan. It's a special temperature-reducing paint.

I wonder if brought here how much more it would add to the price over say the added cost for Blizzard Pearl.

And what would it do in terms of that 5 degree Celsius temp reduction to dark colors like say pure black? Would it have any type of effect? And in white, same question, big difference? Sorry if this was spoken about elsewhere, I just stumbled up-on your pic Tideland and thought it was interesting.

I don't think it's been discussed yet. I've noticed Toyota Canada is now offering extra-cost reds (The 2016 Camry's Ruby Flare Pearl is an extra cost). Actually, the Prius c's Tangerine Orange Splash is also extra cost too. They're both really nice colours compared to the colours they replace (Barcelona Red and Habernero/Mandarin Orange respectively). Given that Hypersonic Red/Emotional Red will be a 3-coat paint too, I suspect it'll be an extra cost, similar to BP.

They'll probably charge the same as BP just to be consistent. I don't actually know if it costs them any more to make Thermo-Tec Lime-Green than a regular 3-coat premium paint. I think it might be the issue of selling a colour, that may not be well received, as an extra cost. Also, Toyota seems to be shying away from dark greens in their hybrid lineup. They really like to push the light greens (Jasper Pearl, Silver Pine Mica, Sea Glass Pearl, Electric Lime Green, Aloe Green Metallic). Yet they have some nice dark greens like Emerald Green Pearl and, more recently, Black Forest Pearl (which almost looks black in dimmer lighting). I realise dark green isn't a sporty colour.

You wouldn't want "thermo-tec lime green" in Edmonton. Nice as it looks. You'd end up a solid block of ice! ;)

Hypersonic Red will be a Standard cost color here in the US (and most likely Canada).

[edit] noticed they different color codes... 6W7 is different lol

Toyota.com says there's an up-charge for Hypersonic Red when we build. I guess my question is: Is Hypersonic Red is a 3 step paint process?
