CAN-View - power consumption meter for your amps

    One of the side features I like about the CAN-View is the power output (kW) meter. I can actually see how much my amplifier is consuming, and it looks like it is sucking down about what I anticipated; around 700 watts nominal. Here's a short clip of it in action:

    You can see that it peaks at about 1000 or so watts. I stop the music near the end of the clip to get a reading at idle power output. Pretty cool!

    What do you have for amps in your car? Standard or have you added something? Then again it maybe that music you are playing. That stuff can rot your mind and grow little yellow hairs on your palms... or that may be a symptom of something else?

    I have a DLS A7 5-Channel amp. It replaced 2 amps and a crossover plus a lot of wires. Nice and neat now.... and loud. :D
