    YES! :rockon::rockon::rockon:

    I was able to move an 8 foot pool table with my 2006 Plug In Prius and I did not use a drop of gas. It helped that the table was about .5 miles away. My dad helped me today with the move. He did insist on taking a few pieces like the legs and part of the table but all of it would fit in my Prius in one trip with the exception of the slate.

    The slate will be moved in three trips since each piece weighs about 200lbs. But the pieces will fit in the Prius. I still need to pick up two more pieces of slate tomorrow and I will have some more help hopefully.

    Who says you need a truck?

    Everything minus a set of legs, a few pieces of table and of course the slate.

    Here is one piece of slate in my Prius along with a dolly.

    If you would have gotten the slate in there I would have been impressed.

    He DID get the slate in there. It's usually in two pieces.

    You are right, I miss-read that. Now I am really impressed. :)

    Yes I was able to get the slate in but only one piece at a time due to weight. Hauling 200lbs battery and ~600lbs of slate in the back would result in lots of rear end damage. If I had to haul the stuff farther than a few miles I might as well use a truck to get it in one trip.

    I have hauled about 450 lb of sand in bags several times about 10 km. Car rode nice but low. :) Got to watch braking distance with that much weight and also watch for road irregularities.

    LENGTH of one piece of slate should be no problem, I am assuming that the width of the slate is something less than 4 feet. Is this correct? I hauled a whole Carom table from Oakland to Sacramento, of course I used my RV.

    Yes each piece was 32 inches wide.
