    I am new to the forum;
    Just finished a 7112 mile trip with my 2012 hatchback II. Traveled thru 6 national
    parks. Went from desert to 10,000 foot peaks and snow. The car was outstanding, no
    problems and averaged 50.8 MPG. Thank you Toyota !!!!!

    Mud, rock or debris that puts it on high-center is a risk as are deep ditches. There are reports of extremely steep grades but I suspect these are not paved but gravel and dirt roads.
