Has anyone else installed a dash kit on their prius? I own a black package#3 06' with black black carbon fiber, I think it came out beautiful but I want some opinions of what it looks like. But I need to show you pictures before you can tell me your thoughts, but I have no idea on how to upload them into the post. I will figure it out, and take pictures in the morning as it is dark here now.

One way is to use a site like Photobucket and link from there.

I'd like to see what the kit looks like.

Photobucket is a reliable place to host videos and pictures and the best of it, .....is FREE.
I use it at all times for the posting of students essays, priuschat and other sites ;)
Herer is an example of a hosted picture of my carbon fiber cockpit.

Thanks for the post, mrbigh. It looks really nice. :)

It's a shame they don't have a piece for the area next to the door windows. I understand those will wear down if you have suntan lotion. A carbon fiber piece could cover that as well.

When you post, there's a button with a picture of a tree. If you click on it, you'll get a spot to enter a URL. The picture comes from that. I know Photobucket has that URL, plus a couple of other types (depending on where you're posting to). Also handy for putting in a picture if you're selling on eBay.

Thanks, I get my camera back later today, hopefully I will be able to take the pics today while there is still light, but if I dont I have a great flash lol.

Id like to hear others thoughts, when i first installed a few pieces I was thinking I made a HUGE mistake, but after I finsihed, I started to say, well its ok, now I really like it. When I dont see it for a while and then come to it, im like wow nice job. Though I did a few repeels :(

I really like it. I have a few questions for you.

    1. Is it real carbon fiber made to replace existing parts, or is it just an application on top of the existing parts?
    2. If it is 100 percent structural carbon fiber, how much weight is saved over the plastic parts?

Ether way it really looks great! B)

its just the sheeting, i dont believe they have the parts to replace in all carbon fiber, if they did it wouldnt be cheap, prob 1500 or so. But the stuff I got is stick on with the heat gun, and it cost under $250. But is guarenteed for life, and is strong as hell. I couldnt pull it off when I tried.

oh, the plastic peices barely weigh anything as is, so replacing them for weight will not doing anything in performance terms.

It looks very nice but a little to bussy for my taste. Also the carbon fiber doesn't look to fallow the same pattern in the front console ;)

What font console are you talking about ? All 51 pieces of this set were identical, if you are talking about the carbon fiber ?

I like it, I don't know that I would have used all the larger pieces, but the silvery plastic around the vents etc. on the stock interior seems cheap looking to me. This looks much nicer.

Check the website link in my signature for pictures of my CF kit. It is not as extensive as the one pictured here.
