I'm considering purchasing the cargo net for my Prius v. Is it easily moved out of the way? In other words, can I simply unhook one side from the bolts/hooks and moved it to the other side of the vehicle?

I think it'd help immensely with carrying grocery bags, but I do want to easily be able to move it out of the way to fit large items in the car.

The 'spider style' cargo net that has four hooks, one at each corner, for attachment to D-rings in the cargo area floor? Yeah!

If you're talking about the OEM "envelope" style net. NO it cannot be easily moved. The top rear loops are bolted into the hatch jamb. I wound up throwing mine away because it was so useless.

If the question is "easily removable" then the answer is yes. I do it all the time in about 10 seconds without tools. Usually I just pop off the two top loops and lay it flat but it can come out easily. If the question is can it function over on one side of the cargo area, then the answer is no like rdgrimes suggests. I think the biggest advantage of the net on the back is to keep things from falling out when you open the hatch. Groceries and goods in plastic bags just sit on the floor regardless.
