Is there a cargo mat which will cover the whole area when the seats are folded down?

There was an earlier thread on this subject but I don't seem to be able to find it.

I did as someone there suggested and bought a rug or mat from Home Depot that is about 4X6 that works well. I just fold it back when the seat backs are up.

I looked and couldn't find one. I did buy a nice one for the rear that has a 2" lip around it and fits like a glove in that space. i still would like to get one that fits up to the front seat. That way when I go scuba diving I wouldn't have to worry about salt water.

How about a blue plastic tarp? You can do almost anything with a blue tarp and a bit of rope.

Charlie, could you give me the details of the one you found with a lip that fits the rear of the Prius, behind the rear seats. I had one like this in my previous car and I miss it. It was great at preventing many disasters.

    Thanks-

Check this out. If this doesn't get you there try mats for less and do a search for prius. I was amazed at how well it fit. It isn't has durable as the one I have in my van but it will do the trick.

I just purchased floor mats and a cargo mat for my '05 from Eddie Bell. The cargo mat covers the entire back very nicely and is pliable enough to lift the cover for the hidden storage area. I'm not sure if he can help you with a mat that covers the area when the seats are folded down but no harm in asking him. The product is called Exactmats
He was very easy to work with and gave great service! Here's his info:

Costco sells floor mats. Price about $16.00. Fits the rear of the Prius as if it were made for it. It is made from ground up tires, so it can be cleaned by hosing it off. Comes in grayor green.

Where'd you get it? A picture without a link isn't much good.

That's what I want. I'll take one in black if you don't mind bringing it back the next time you go to Japan.
