The poster car for green motoring is new again.

The third-generation Toyota Prius has hit Australia with the promise of more efficiency, better driving and more value as the bowser wowser leads a renewed hybrid attack by the world's biggest carmaker.

Finally, an Australian review! Thanks! But the price is a little crazy :(. Base model costs $31824USD  and the fully loaded model's at $42672USD  In other words, our base model costs as much as the most expensive US model with the Advanced Technology Package. I think Toyota might lose a few Aussie to-be Prius customers with that. They're demanding us to pay around 8-10 grand more than what people overseas pay for the same product.

that last line is telling when it admits the Pri may not have the sporty drive of the turbo diesels OR with tailpipe emissions "up to 35 times more noxious"
