Mine was stolen 3 times in 3 years, and I’ve been driving around with a non-CA CAT that I just put in there myself. I’m thinking about selling the car and was wondering if I sold it in Nevada would the person buying it be able to register it with the correct CAT for a Ca car?

They will need a dealer or the two or so listed as approved on site carb board .

I wonder if the OP could sell it for export? Lots of used cars go out through the port of Los Angeles, and if the buyer will never register it in state the status of the cat could be irrelevant. Some details here:

8.040 Used Vehicle Sold for Export to Another Country - California DMV

but I don't see this particular situation listed.

Anyway, easier to drive the car to the port than to Nevada.
